Adolescence

Adolescence

Teenagers are less focussed on their parents than children. Friends and peers are more important and parents complain they have less control over them. Puberty is an important phase to independence. Your teen is discovering who they are and are developing their own identity. During puberty, a child can rebel against your rules and boundaries. Emotional outbursts are common and although partly onset by hormones they are also known to be effective strategies (from your child’s point of view) in dealing with parents.

Do you want to know how to guide your child through this phase and still keep in contact?

Because every situation is unique, I like to discuss the possibilities with you. In general for questions on adolescence we choose Triple P Positive Parenting program an Email consultation or Personal consultation.
