Social skills

A young child is self-centred, not to be confused with selfish. This is not a bad habit, it is just the way a young child thinks. He/she sees the world only from their own perspective. As they grow, the child slowly learns about the views and wishes of other people and considers other people. Realising this, the child needs to find a way of balancing standing up for himself/ herself and considering someone else’s feelings, to learn how to compromise in situations. Some children find their way in this challenge themselves, others need some support to figure this out.

Do you want to learn how you can support your child in developing social skills?

Because every situation is unique, I like to discuss the possibilities with you. In general for questions on social skills we choose Social Competence training, Rock and Water trainingan Email consultation or Personal consultation.
