Children and teens
All children develop at their own pace. There are great differences between children and sometimes as a you parent don’t know what is ‘normal’. You can find information on the web or in literature but what suits your child and specific situation. During a personal consultation we discuss your concerns. Sometimes the help is aimed at you as a parent and sometimes support for the child is more suitable. A combination of those two is also an option. Focus on Families offers support for children as well, like a social competence training or a Rock & Water training.
Questions we are getting frequently from parents:
- My child is angry a lot. What can I do to understand him/her better?
- My child has a low self-esteem. What can I do to help building his/her self-confidence?
- My child has anxieties. What can I do to help?
- My child is being bullied at school.
- My child has no/very few friends. I am worried, how can I help him/her to be a good friend?
- My teenage daughter is very stubborn, how can I deal with the arguments  in the house?
- My children are fighting a lot? How can I deal with their arguments?
