Rock and Water Training
Social Competence training
Sometimes children find it difficult to deal with other children. The get angry quickly or are insecure. Making new friends or working together can be difficult because they don’t know how to respond to others. Rock and Water is a psycho-physical training for boys and girls. We teach by doing physical exercises and experience, less by talking about it.
In 6-8 sessions we develop important skills, such as setting boundaries, as well as respecting boundaries, by increasing self-control, self-reflection and self-confidence.
The training is aimed at resilience, (anti) bullying and dealing with conflict. Children learn to feel the difference between ‘rock’ and ‘water’. The tough, immovable rock attitude is focused and self-centered versus the mobile, communicative water attitude, aimed at connection and teamwork.
Rock and Water is and evidence-based program.
Central principals in the Rock and Water Training:
- Learning how to stand firm and relaxed, how to concentrate your breath in your belly and focus attention.
- work and play together with respect.
